FlowCon International ApS now also has its first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for PICV-actuators available for download from our website or the official EPD Denmark portal and ECO Platform.
This FlowCon EPD (covering actuator models FN.0.2, FH, FT.0.3, and SM.0.0.0.3) is developed according to EN15804+A2 with PCR Part B: Requirements on the EPD for control valves and has been verified in accordance with ISO 14025. The EPD’s purpose is to communicate scientifically based environmental data for construction products, supporting transparent sustainability assessments of buildings.
The EPD documents the environmental profile of FlowCon actuators across their full life cycle - from raw material extraction and manufacturing to energy use during operation and end-of-life treatment under the WEEE directive. Results highlight energy use during stand-by and operation as the primary environmental hotspot, while recycling of metals contributes positively at end-of-life.
By publishing these verified results, FlowCon demonstrates its commitment to transparent, science-based sustainability in HVAC solutions. The EPD allows consultants, engineers, and building owners to make informed decisions based on documented environmental performance.
Sister model actuators are covered as part of the family within the allowed ±10% variation.
