Custom Material - Stainless Steel

Discover FlowCon's product range in Stainless Steel, AISI 316L. This product range is new for some, but to us it has been running its own life in the shadow of our standard HVAC range for decades. We offer Pressure Independent Control Valves (PICVs), 1/4-turn Control Valves, Automatic balancing Valves (ABVs) and Filters in AISI 316L.

Our custom material range can be used in any variable HVAC heating and chilled system, but we particularly see a business niche within medical- and pharmaceutical industry, other industrial applications and data centers, where stainless steel valves are more common.

What are the advantages of 316L?

Advantages of 316L over 316 and 304 Stainless Steel are lower carbon content, better weldability, superior corrosion resistance, biocompatibility and versatility in harsh conditions. 316L maintains its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance even in high-temperature and chemical environments.

Which Materials does FlowCon offer?

Our standard range is for common HVAC applications where brass and ductile iron housing materials are well accepted. But for critical industries like the medico applications, pharmaceutical industry and data centers, material requirements are seen switching to stainless steel. Other custom materials, e.g. Monel material or epoxy coating, for critical or harsh environments may be available upon request.
