FlowCon publishes EPDs
according to EN15804+A2:2019 for PICVs
FlowCon International ApS has its first two FlowCon EPDs available for download from our website or by the official website of EPD Denmark
The FlowCon EPDs (for Green range and flanged SM range) are based on the European standard EN15804+A2. EN 15804 serves as the core Product Category Rule (PCR), and PCR Part B: Requirements on the EPD for control valves as additional PCR. The EPDs have been verified in accordance with ISO 14025. The intended use of this (and any) EPD is to communicate scientifically based on environmental information for construction products, for the purpose of assessing the environmental performance of buildings.
The EPDs provide detailed information on the carbon footprint of FlowCon’s PICV range, covering everything from material milling and production to the end-of-use phase and recycling options (cradle-to-gate A1-A3 including options modules C1-C4 and D). These life cycle analysis calculations have been performed by an external sustainability consultant and verified by an independent EPD specialist. The EPDs provide documented impact on global warming, total use of primary energy, and depletion of abiotic resources.
Together, we can make a greener choice! 💚
The project is part of the SME Green 2.0 Course under the Danish National Company Program and co-funded by the European Union.
